If the gasoline has ethanol in it, it will burn faster and you'll get less mileage than from pure gasoline. I don't know if stations around here are mixing ethanol with gas to make it cheaper, but I've experienced this elsewhere.

Another reason I only get gas on base. Their pumps are constantly calibrated and they don't play games like some of the independents do. It's a little more expensive, but at least I know what I'm getting.
and I've been watching the NYMEX lately and oil keeps trying to increase, but it's constantly getting knocked down. This morning it was creeping towards $75, but is currently almost below $70. Hopefully the conservation will keep up and we can keep these fools against the wall. I also noticed gold is dropping like a rock, so definitely not the time to get into that either. Then again maybe it is, but that's way too rocky of a road for me.

Buy on the dips...sell on the peaks, RD. AU and AG are not for the faint of heart...but can make some good money with it, and use as a wealth protector as well. If you really have the stones, you can trade the mining stocks...I've even dabbled with that...talk about a rocky road!

OPEC is currently talking some smack with iran and venezuela leading the pack. I'm surprised it's not hopping on the NYMEX, but I guess the speculators are going to wait and see for a change.
