Birthday Activities
We are having a birthday party for the little one (3) next month and were wondering if you all had ideas on some activities to keep everyone entertained. It is in a community center which will have access to a splash/pool right next to it but I thought it may be nice to have something on top of that. Any ideas ?

Why don't you set up a bean-bag toss......or toddler bowling....? Toddlers have a VERY short attention span so...the more activities- the better.
You could also buy some Colorwonderful paper (they have large sheets available) and have everyone do some artwork. Just stick the large pieces of paper to the wall and have plenty of markers available (that's why I suggest the color wonder kind - no worries about staining or coloring clothes/tables etc.)
Hope this helps. Have Fun!!!!

Sidewalk chalk is another thing they love and washes away with no problems. And little people LOVE to dance so crank up the 'tunes -- if it's got a good beat and is easy to dance to, they'll give you the pre-school version of American Bandstand. These curious little things also like decorating their own cookies or cupcakes (with a lot of supervision!).

I don't know about a pool, but Dave and Buster's is a really neat place.

I was just there a few weeks ago for a Birthday party. It's going strong.
We had tons of fun and look forward to going again.

Thanks for the ideas! The venue has already been selected so we are not planning on changing that but really looking for activities while we are there, and in case we get rained in on.

Gymboree Play & Music! 2 locations in SA, one on Huebner (Northwest) and the other on San Pedro (North Central). Our grandaughter, 9 months has been going to classes there since birth and they love it! Her first birthday is scheduled there! Hope this helps! We went to playday with her one Wednesday while in SOuthlake and it wa adorable to watch her and her Mommy interact!
