Hi,

I am planning a June trip to San Antonio with my daughter and granddaughters. We were thinking of going to Sea World, but the tickets are very expensive.

Does anyone know of a local place to get discounted coupons to Sea World? Where we live, (denver area) you can buy discount ski lift tickets at local grocery stores, and we were wondering if San Antonio has similar deals locally. It would really help us cut costs if we could find a cheaper way to get in. We were thinking of a possible vacation package that includes lodging, and tickets, etc.

Thanks!

HEB stores and Valero stations offer slightly-discounted tickets. The absolute best discount requires a visit the night before and the process described in post #11 of this thread.

I just remembered this other thread with a way to get half-price single day tickets to Sea World by mail. That method has the following discounts:

Available Attractions for 2008 season:
  • Six Flags Over Texas – Arlington: $26.50
  • Hurricane Harbor – Arlington: $17.00
  • SeaWorld – San Antonio: $32.00 (NOT VALID IN MONTH OF JULY)
  • Six Flags Fiesta Texas – San Antonio: $26.50
  • Splashtown Waterpark – San Antonio: $14.00
  • Space Center Houston – Houston: $10.25
  • Splashtown Waterpark – Houston: $17.50
  • Natural Bridge Caverns (Adult): $10.50
  • Natural Bridge Caverns (Child): $7.00

Bowie is correct that they offer great prices on tickets, but unfortunately they are sold out of Sea World tickets for this year. My family and I just ordered Six Flag tickets though for $23.50 each. With shipping it cost us 129.55 for 2 adults and 3 kids!

I answered my own question: Partners in the Park 2009 - Texas Travel Industry Association (http://www.ttia.org/?parks09 - broken link)

Looks like Sea World tickets are sold out, but everything else is still there.

Sea World now has an option to pay for a season pass in monthly installments. It's called an EZ Pass. It's not at a discount, but for those who can't pay for the pass in one lump sum it's cool. They take out around six or seven dollars every month for twelve months out of your debit/credit card.
