Just saw a quick clip on the news as I'm trying to finish up my online finals. One of the main buildings at OLLU is on fire.

From woai: There is a fire reported at Our Lady of the Lake University. The call came out just before 8 p.m. on the 400 block of SW 24th Street.
News 4 has learned there is a fire on the fourth floor of the main building on the campus.
It has been evacuated.
There are 21 fire units on scene.

Yikes! There was a bomb threat there yesterday, but I just chalked that up to finals! They dismissed that as a non-threat. I hope they are not connected and no one gets hurt!

That's what I was thinking too sapphire...hope these two incidents aren't related.

The clip I saw on the news showed the fire had broke through the roof.

The fire is out...it's smoke but looks like very heavy damage to the building. I'm sure it took lots and lots of water to put down a wood fire. That wood is over 100 yrs old.

yeah, I could only wish my intraweb building would catch on fire.. I'd especially like the non-existent object oriented programming building to go down in flames

I jumped on here as soon as I saw this on TV. I was also going to mention how yesterday there was a bomb threat. Could it be a coincidence? This is horrible. Iím finding it hard to watch live. I hope this isnít the work of some loser that had a grudge against the school.

My cousin is graduating from there on 5/17 and is standing across the street from there now. I'll be praying no one was hurt.

I do hope it's just an awful coincidence, too. There have been a lot of college students in the news lately--the kid from SA last week that was arrested for terroristic threats against students at UT Austin, the 100 or so today in San Diego....I sure hope this isn't a sad case of a student with an ax to grind.
