*** update ***
well --- there is not much to tell --- the swelling is going down, which is good --- but dh's ft is really really red now --- so the swelling is down but the redness has increased quite a bit ---
he has no more pain in his foot, which is good as well
they have taken him off of the Leviquin but they are going to continue the other antibiotic --- they have said a BIG BIG BIG maybe that he can go home tomorrow, but only depending on what his blood work reads --- his white blood cell count was still a little low --- but if dh can come home they are going to give him another 14days of antibiotics in pill form --- before they release him they are going to have the infectious disease doctor come in and take a look at him
dh is in much better spirits today but has developed a heat rash on his back from the constant fever --- they dr's say the fever is good, even though it has not broke in 4days, because the fever is fighting his infection...
so the prayers are working --- please continue
as far as the kids, they are doing well --- our son went to my mom's today until wednesday and the girls are dealing okay with all this --- i brought all the kids in today to see dh so that really lifted his spirits
as far as the house --- it is 3 weeks tomorrow that the house has been on the market --- no offeres, but lots of showings --- today i had to turn one down because they called at 530pm to show it at 6pm and they wanted a 2hr window to show up between 6-8pm --- i just could not do that --- i was here at the hospital and i had my cousins staying with the girls and the 2 dogs at the house --- i could not ask them to clean up and get everyone out of the house in 30mins ---
i want to say thank you again to everyone for all your well wishes --- only in a city like ours could complete strangers be so supportive to someone they have never met ---
i have only really been doing updates --- i am going to bring the laptop to the hospital tomorrow so that dh and i can read all the well wishes together --- i will update again then ---
HUGS TO ALL
~~~ Ana
This is me, again...Owl.
I'm totally exhausted in all ways right now, and tomorrow is another huge day with visits to the hospital, then going for a breast biopsy, so I'm turning into bed early.
But I just wanted those who have been praying for me, offering support, saying prayers for my husband, to know that I appreciate all you have done.
And, yes, yes...prayer does work.
I'm going to say several for people right now...
Thanks, again...all of you are wonderful.
Your friend, who is learning what really matters in life.
Oh...me, yet again...
When I visited my husband in the hospital this evening, I told him about all of you. His eyes filled up with tears when he heard about all of your kindness.
We only think we are strangers. We are much closer than that. We only need clear vision to see that.
Now you can call me Mystic Owl...
Nite now...
I'm in Central TX, Bertram, on a farm ranch and with your permission I will put your husband, you, your children, and your home on our prayer chain. Let me know by WED. morning.
Because you have faith, and intersessory prayers you will see the blessings of the Lord soon!
A believer!
so the prayers are working --- please continue
I prefer to think of us all as dear friends who have maybe just not had the opportunity to meet face to face yet!
I am glad for all the good news...everyone seemed to have some to report today!!! Owl, you and your DH remain covered in prayer, MoJo, same for your SIL, Baby and the entire family, MrsTxCop, REALLY glad to hear that DH is doing so much better...if he can go home on oral antibiotics, that is GREAT news opposed to having to stay inpt and on IV antibiotics.
Life is fragile, handle with prayer.
Owl and Mrstxcop, we continue to keep you all and your families in our prayers. I am of the opinion that the power of prayer and good thoughts is way more powerful than we even realize. God's power is made perfect in our weakness. Keep your faith strong and derive some comfort in knowing that others care and are praying for you.
God bless.
Owl here, again...
Today's not been great. MORE PRAYERS PLEASE!!!
I went to the hospital early to see my husband. He looks so frail and weak. He doesn't understand how ill he has been, how fragile his health is, even now.
A physical therapist came by and tried to get him up on his feet, walking a bit--with a walker to steady him. But his blood pressure was 70 over 40...too low to risk anything physical that would tax him.
In the meantime, I heard that I may be able to take him home tomorrow. Not sure about that. But he is going to need help--mine--and so I had to cancel my appointment with the surgeon today, as I can't drive 22 miles each way, have my husband at home, and if I'm put into a hospital or even go for whatever else I need...drive that far on my own.
I'm trying to find some place closer to my home to go to. Everything takes time, though, and there is always some catch to getting what I need.
It's pretty overwhelming to me.
But I thank everyone out there, who has been following along with my situation, and MrsTXCop's. It is strange how comforting it is to read your encouraging posts, considering none of us know each other, aside from this board.
Thanks again.
Owl
Owl, don't put off your biopsy!! I've had numerous breast health issues, and I can tell you every time it happens it is extremely frightening, and my doctor always stresses that women need to act with a sense of urgency regarding our breast health. It's so important! I understand as a woman that you feel the need to care for everyone else first, but please don't jeopardize your health. Where are you located? Is there someone that can offer some support--either friends, family, or church?
I'll keep you in my prayers, and I'll also pray that you get yourself to the doctor!!
