And with how well he has done regarding funding our schools why wouldn't he be re-elected? Oh... thats right it didn't work. He has had some major blunders period. The only reason we are doing good is because we happen to be heavily vested in businesses that are making a ton of money (i.e. oil companies).

Not if our friend Kay has something to say about it!

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison: "I am encouraged by the growing number of Texans asking me to return home to run for Governor to provide leadership for our state. It is too early to make an announcement about the 2010 race. Right now I remain committed to serving the people of Texas in the United States Senate and helping our Republican candidates win crucial elections this fall."

Rick has tried to sell just about every Texas asset and privatize just about every service provided by the state. He tried to sell our roads to a foreign corporation. He looked into selling the lottery. The lottery! He oversaw the complete failure of the free market after electric deregulation. He tried to require HPV vaccinations. (Anyone want to guess how much Merck contributed to his campaign coffers?) He oversaw the Medicaid/Accenture debacle. Rick oversaw the recent stratospheric rise in tuition rates. I am expecting him to put A&M on the auction block next year. I wonder how much Qatar would pay Rick (uh, I mean, Texas) for one of its flagship institutions?

Poor Rick Perry. He endorsed Giuliani right before McCain's rise in the polls. Say goodbye to the VP spot. Kay, come save us. Please!

despite rick perry, perhaps.

i'm finally seeing some people who have voted for him every single election wake up to what a pig-headed politician this guy really is. (i'm a conservative republican, btw.)

the property tax "cut" was such a scam.
