About upscale restaurants - how is the Kirby's steakhouse doing? The Wild Fish and Roaring Fork? They are not inexpensive.

Also, Bistro Thyme - a touch pricey went out of business, IIRC.

I remember when The Shops were first announced back in 2002 or 2003 that a developer planned a restaurant row next to it (where Red Lobster and Olive Garden are now) with about 5 or 6 restaurants. Looks like there at three now.

I know Olive Garden and Red Lobster are there but what's the 3rd one? Is it something under construction? I don't go out that way much so I don't know.

I was driving by there today on the way home and noticed that they just broke gound in between the Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Anyone know what it is? Is this the Longhorn Steakhouse that was mentioned earlier in this thread?

If it is a Longhorn Steakhouse, that would make sense as they are owned by the same parent company, Darden Restaurants, as Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Going to the Longhorn Steakhouse website, they don't show any growth into Texas yet. I've visited them in Michigan and love their food. I'd place it up there with Saltgrass as one of my favorites.

It is most likely a Darden:

- Bahama Breeze
- Longhorn Steakhouse
- Capital Grille
- Season 52

Of the options I'd say Longhorn or Capital are the most realistic options. Longhorn doesn't have any TX locations, but operate locations in every state from Maine to Oklahoma and Louisiana. Texas looks to be next in the path of expansion.

But, Capital Grille has locations in TX. Earlier posts suggest they only build them in very upscale areas and not likely between a Red Lobster and Olive Garden.
