Default Thinking of Relocating........

I have a few questions in regards to San Antonio. Does SA get any type of inclement weather such as tornadoes and Which cities/towns would you recommend to raise a family (Cibolo, New Braunfels, Shertz)?

We will be visiting next month and we are not sure what areas to look at and which ones to stay away from.

Thank you

Tornadoes are very rare, atleast within the city, mostly you'll get tornadoes 50-70 miles from the city in rural areas however hose usually are really weak F1's, nothing major. SA does get spring and summer thunder storms that can have really high winds.

As for which is more family friendly, out of the three you listed, New Braunfels. However, Cibolo and Schertz are nice themselves.

The only type of weather that I have found threatening is large hail. I only worry for the car and windows. Texas is well poised for hail because it is a site for the collision of tropical air and cold fronts from the north. Large hail is very infrequent, however.
