How about the much cheaper electric rates than Dallas and Houston (and most of Texas)?

Less traffic, lower cost of living, proximity to other places in Texas, laidback mentality.

Default Electric Rate Comparisons (SA vs Dallas & Houston)

Searching on the internet, electric rates in Dallas run from 12.9-15 cents per kWh. Houston's rates run from 13.1-16.3 cents per kWh. San Antonio's per kWh is 7.5 cents (8.8 cents in summer). Dallas and Houston both have deregulated power companies (several to choose from), while San Antonio owns City Public Service and puts money back into the city budget (I think around 25% of total budget). So, not only do we get cheaper electricity, but we also contribute to the city (hidden tax?).
