Recommend Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper Realtor?
We need to work with Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper for our USAA relocation & wondered if anyone has the name of an agent they recommend. Preferably one from the Stone Oak/1604 Coldwell Banker office, since that is where we're concentrating our search.
Thanks!

I sent you a DM with the agent we used from CB and I believe his office is that location---if not, it's really close to that area. And we used him because USAA recommended him to us.

Thanks! I responded to everyone who recommended a Realtor & just wanted to make sure we're getting the most direct, honest & experienced agent possible. Everyone has said USAA recommended theirs...well, ours came through USAA too & she has been in the business less than a year, and lost two houses in negotiations for us...we're still not quite sure how. We are just ready to buy. And when we suggested getting an attorney to look over the purchase agreement, she got really MAD and defensive!!! So we decided we were being paranoid & trusted her, then guess what, she forgot a zero on the purchase price in our offer and the listing agent found it. Ummm, oops!!!
We signed a contract with her though, does this bind us to using her? Or was the contract just on the property we had offered on??? I can't tell from the wording.

Depends on the wording of your buyer's rep agreement. There's a start and end date in there. However, most good Realtors will let you out of the contract if you request it because there is nothing good that can come from working with someone that doesn't want to work with you, so it's best to move on. If they give you trouble, talk to their broker. Simply put, they screwed up and you deserve to be able to move on. I'm fairly sure that the broker will agree.

MM,
Sorry to hear about your experience. I used a D' Harper agent to purchase two rental properties prior to moving to SA. I never met her in person, but she was able to closed within 30-days. It was a cash purchase using 1031 Exchange. Her office is located at the 1604/Babcock area. I have not logged in for quite sometime here on CD. Are you still looking into the Stone Area? Good luck!

Do they put all their listings on television. Or do sellers pay more for that?
Just curious

Seems kind of long for a cash purchase. I thought most of the time was taken up by the bank's stuff. I purchased a cash house in two weeks. I just sold a home where they buyer was doing FHA. Somehow we closed in 3 weeks.

No extra charge
Our house was listed on the showcase of homes via D'Ann Harper and we did not pay extra for it. They tell you when you sign the listing agreement when to expect to have your house on it. Funny...our house was on it 3 weeks into the listing but by that time, we had already accepted a contract on it, we had 3 to choose from. I have a lot of good things to say about our D'Ann Harper agent. She was GREAT

If the realtor screws up like that, you can report them to the board of realtors, and the publicity in a market like it is now, theyll be glad to let you out of the contract and go on. dont worry bout it.
