Actually, Laundry's just completed a significant renovation of the entire Tower when they took over the contract from Jim's. I went there last year and it was actually pretty nice.

Personally I cannot wait until October so I can say I experienced all of the seasons. Winter, Summer and Construction. hahahaha Though Construction Season seems to run parallel to every other season. Go figure.

After the 10th time I gave up trying to merge from 10 to 410 west WITHOUT getting flipped off by the person coming up from behind at 70 mph, SEEING PEOPLE MERGING and still expecting me to find an extra lane "in the wall" or "hover over him" in my magicmobile so that I can find my place in 410 traffic vs being forced to exit Babcock or wreck into his sorry arse!
I'm also done with expecting anyone who wrecks into me or totals one of my vehicles to have insurance! Three accidents, three years (between the two of us), none were our fault and none of the other parties had insurance.
UM coverage RULEZ!

Just wondering, is there a law in Tx where you have to have some sort of car insurance coverage? There was in the state that I just came from (I'm not complaining, just stating a fact). I think you got a hefty fine or maybe court date or something if you didn't have insurance. Anyone?

Yep, it's definitely required. And now they claim that penalties are steeper but just towing the person's car away isn't enough for me, sorry. I was out of work for almost a year because of one of those people and he split. . . left san antonio altogether. I won't get a year's worth of income back . . . . but then again I wouldn't have gotten it out of a loser like that anyway. :-/

Can't you get a judgment against them? Not like they're any good for it now, but maybe you could go back and collect later when they least expect it?

judgement usually doesn't help if they're a foreign national... I'd personally snap their neck on the spot if they smiled at me and said "sorry, no insurance"
