Here in western NYS it has been in the 40's in the morning.AND IT IT JUNE! I can't wait till I am in some 90 degrees, and I don't care if it is humid as my bones feel better in hot and moist temps.

JUST COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS!

Thats impossible but i'm sure it was humid. Sometimes i dont understand people's obsession with dry air. I just spent the weekend in san angelo and there was little humidity and the heat was still stifling (100+ degrees). With humidity it probably would have been 94 or 95 with the heat index around there so it seems to even out to me. And with the humidity my skin doesnt crack.

Having grown up in a more desert like climate, then having spent a number of years working in the tropics, for me it's a big difference. I love both, but each affect me differently. In the dry heat, I can take much higher temps and do fine with lots of water and a hat. I'm not going to go running, but I can be moderately active and manage.

In high heat/humidity, a much lower temp can be stifling. I find it harder to breathe, need to slow down MUCH more and barely move. There's a reason people think people who live in the tropics are 'lazy.' They just slow down to deal with the heat!

In the desert, even in the hottest days it typically cools down at night somewhat. In humid climes, it rarely cools down much in the evening, so there's little relief. At least in the tropics in the rainy season, it can be hot as hell but when it rains, it's a big release of pressure and it cools down a bit. Here, we never seem to get to the rain stage.

I don't know which one to pick. I HATE the heat. HATE IT! But I've never lived where there's been snow so I don't know if I'd like it better. I would definately like to try a place where there are four seasons. Maybe when hubby graduates we can do that.

Dry heat is okay....
I didn't see my choice, so I didn't vote....

It would entail:
NO SNOW OR ICE... EVER!!!! AT ALL!!!

temps in mid-80's all year long...

I came close when I lived in Long Beach, CA....
if I ever went back to California, that's probably where I'd go....

maybe tomorrow.... LOLOL

no, after the meet n greet, I guess... LOL

Well, after living in Phoenix, where it's a "dry heat" I can't say I really like either. I would pick about 93 degrees with no humidity! Sure the dry heat is better, but once you get up above 110-115, it's just as bad as a humid day here! I've lived through 120 degree days in Phoenix, and that was just too dang hot!

I want Maui weather, West Coast Maui, Lahaina. It's perfect! But I don't see myself moving there any time soon.

Seriously, I'm waiting for the day I have to chain up to get on the freeway here. I do hear ice storms can get pretty rough and some of these overpasses are pretty high so maybe the snow cables will get used again someday.

Comeon, global cooling...

Yeah, I voted "dry heat", but you are so right!! Anything over 110, and the heat gets worse exponentially every, single degree! Once it gets up to about 116-117, it's nearly not possible for humans to even exist outside. People who've never experienced it really can not even imagine how insanely hot it is. Seriously. Insanely. Hot. (I grew up in Phoenix, family still lives there, would never go back to live there. Won't even visit from about March thru Nov.)
