My husband found the part online through a part company he's purchased other stuff from before and it was FIFTY bucks. Not that we have any of that laying around extra anyway (my kiddos in private school. . . . across town. . . GAG. . . gas + tuition!) but it definitely lessened the blow! If you can get the exact part and price (if it isn't the belt) see if you can locate the part online yourself. . . most auto parts places online offer free ground shipping, too! Good luck! I know about being a baby w/no A/C! It's tough NOT to be!
Great advice. Most companies double (or triple) the price of the part.

I had a leak in the AC on my truck and was I was going to get an estimate on getting it repaired but luckily my engine blew up first last week so I didn't have to fix the AC. Got another truck. AC works fine. Problem solved. I love it when things work out so well like that.

LOL @ SnappyBob. Things seem to work out that way often around here.. but I'm keeping this van. Love it and just bought it and know it will run forever.

Doesn't look like I'm fixing the a/c anytime soon though ($$$$). Oh well. Guess I'm doing my errand-running at night whenever possible.
