My daughter is a cheerleader at her school which is a private school and during the summer the cheerleaders have to keep practicing so they're ready for the upcoming year and since they're technically not part of the athletic program at her school they don't get first consideration like the athletic teams do (nevermind that at competition they kick butt). This year because of camps being held at the school and construction that's ongoing outside of camp hours, they are out a place to practice. Outside is too hot - they've tried that before and it's only gonna get hotter. Does anyone know of any gyms anywhere that are air conditioned that are available at no cost? (I know that might be a lot to ask but on top of tuition and everything else we have to cover because uniforms, tumbling, coach fees etc aren't covered under athletics we're already paying out the NOSE!) We haven't been able to locate anything and it's kind of a bummer because they're ready to start and the squad has several new girls that really need to get started. Just thought I'd ask! It's better than sitting here with my head in my hands goin' "awww shucks"!
