Rumor has it a well known flipper bought house across from me.
Not sure yet. We think we saw a well known local TV house flipper person looking at the house diagonal from me that's for sale and has been on the market for a long long time (needs a good deal of work). Of course no one knows for sure and the tax records don't reflect a change of hands yet...
but wouldn't that be kind of exciting?
Then again they do show the surrounding neighborhood on those shows and my house is almost across the street. Guess it's time to clean up my junky front porch!!!
It could be just rumor but I am pretty sure he was looking at it anyway. Y'all all know who I'm talking about I'm sure!
If it WAS him I'm wondering if he routinely turns them into rentals because this is a big place, split up into several units, and if restored would probably be a 5 or 6 bedroom house (which is unheard of over here). It would be awesome if something like that could draw interest to people wanting to restore old homes in the area but I doubt it.

Don't get starstruck. When the city's most famous flipper bought a house in my neighborhood, the place mysteriously stood neglected for a few months... reaching a point where the neighbors were getting annoyed at the lack of progress. Once the rehab got underway, it went quickly.

Entirely possible.
If ANYONE will just remove the faux brick siding, they'll be my hero. LOL. That house could be such a charmer... so I'm crossing my fingers regardless of who bought it. It has been badly "remuddled" like everything else around here. Blech. Maybe someone will give it back a little dignity?
I'm an old-house purist though... and realize I'm usually in the minority!
So was your house on TV or anything?

I think it would be fun to watch him with other people to see if he is really as rude and arrogant as he appears on TV...

Isn't this flipper in trouble with the law or something?

OH, he is!! That guy is a total jerk!!! My previous company had a potential dealing with him, and he's a ............ uhhhhhhh............ can't say it here. And Otherhalf ended up next to him on a plane fairly recently (in coach!!! LOL!). And not like Otherhalf was fawning over him or anything. He's one of the most NON "star" struck people ever. Said he was arrogant with a capital A!!!!! I can't stand that a$$! (But then again, I have issue with a lot of people that drive Hummers!!! )
