Good area for what? To live? Drive through? I dont think either one of these areas are "tha Hood" as Novemberhawk states.. now across the park from the back side of Kirby, which is not in Kirby there is a housing subdivision, that holds a lot of "bad areas". But it isnt in Kirby. Trust me.. the Kirby cops do not have many things to do, so they spend most of their time on duty handing out traffic tickets.

Converse is a growing city and I think out of the two.. depending what you are trying to get out of it, Converse would be the place to go.. Kirby is limited in it's boundaries and will not see any more growth. But then again, if you like a quiet neighborhood that is patrolled pretty decent by the city cops.. then Kirby is it.. I am sure with the growth spurt Converse will have, more issues come with that but who knows.

I would choose Converse over Kirby any day. So boring, nothing going on. if your retired it nice. I will say its very quiet, police make rounds on the streets on a daily basis wich is good.
