Can any of you gardening gurus tell me what this is? and if the photo doesn't work, here's the link http://http://www.flickr.com/photos/27490348@N07/2564248551/ (broken link)

I've generally been noting my list of xeriscape/native plants to buy. Last week I went a bit overboard at Rainbow Gardens and lost track. At Fannicks that wasn't a problem since they were all labelled on the pot. These though, were only labelled on the post, but not on the pot. All the others I knew, but when I got home I realized I totally forgot what this plant was. It's more shrub than vine. I think it's supposed to get flowers and I think it's supposed to be shade tolerant.

I haven't planted it yet because I can't remember where to put it

Dang, that link isn't working either...let me find a place to put it. How do I post pictures here?

Can you email the pic of it to Rainbow Garden and ask them, or can you take it back over there and ask them? I don't recognize it, but then, I'm used to 'back east' gardening....... waaaaay different selections of course....

There is a gardening section on city-data. Maybe post a pic there. There seems to be a lot of people there who know their stuff.

For some reason, it reminds me of something a humming bird would like.
Could it be espiranza? Trumpet flower?

I'm hoping that's what it is (trumpet vine). I had been wanting one...but can't remember if that's what I found.

Thanks. Done.

I had also posted on Gardenweb forums earlier and hadn't gotten any responses. I thought some here might now since I know we have some Rainbow Gardens favourites and I'm pretty sure it's a native plant.

I'm trying to avoid going back to Rainbow Gardens to check, because it's pretty far out of my way and I'm sure if I go I won't leave empty handed. So better not to go!

That looks like Italian jasmine (Jasminum floridum).

That's what I'm thinking also. I have them lining my circular driveway. Mine bloom yellow flowers very early in February/March, and are evergreen, and drought tollerant, when established. Also thrives in sun or shade and grows to 4' x 4' in a cascading manner.
