Default Place to buy ceiling fan other than Lowes or Home Depot?

I'm not looking for anything expensive, I would like to stay under $200.

I just don't like the selection they offer and would like to shop around.

I know there are a ton available through online shopping but this is something we'd like to eyeball before buying.

Your suggestions are appreciated!

I first went to Randolph AFB (I'm retired). They had good prices but they all looked cheap. I think went to Walmart - same thing - cheap prices, cheap looks. So then I went to Lowes.
But I only went to one Walmart. Maybe some others might have a better selection. Oooh what about HEB plus? I havne't been there but they might have fans. Maybe Con's or Best Buy or Circuit City or furniture stores?

Try Overstock.com. I've never bought a fan on that site but they have everything. I buy ceiling fans for rental units at Walmart only because of the price. They look good enough for a rental unit. Strangly, I've not had to replace a fan from Wal-Mart in a rental. They seem to last and I know they get alot of abuse. Maybe the cheap ones are better.

Try Stevens Lighting located off Isom Rd & 281 N. They ordered 4 for me last year when I couldn't find what I wanted at the home center stores.

I've got 4 WalMart fans at my house. I had to replace one of them after 4 years. Mrs. Bowie thinks a couple of our WalMart fans are nicer looking than the fans the builder provided.

I just got my Costco coupon book yesterday. There is a $20 off coupon for a hunter fan. So the price is $119, the coupon is good from June 16 - 22. I will definitely be getting one of these. Nothing fancy, it looks like this one: Hunter Fan - Ceiling Fans Accessories
