FYI: Sushi-Zushi is SUCKTASTIC!
Learn from my mistake folks. Consider this a PSA:
After fumbling with their poorly designed website for nearly 30 minutes, the order doesn't transfer and the whole site errors out. Lovely.
This is an ongoing issue with SZ. I've heard that this error has been plaguing their system for nearly a year. But why fix the problem when you could simply continue to overcharge your customers for crappy service?
I call. What sounds to be a teenager answers, using the word 'like' 15 times throughout the conversation. It's obvious that she's easily distracted and it takes another 15 minutes just to get the order right (as she needed to read it back to me FIVE times. Oy). Kids. I fear for the future.
Total: $110. An hour later, the food arrives, cold, and they have forgotten the main courses (two kinds of tepenyakki). I call to figure things out and can't get through: The line to SZ (in Stone Oak) isn't busy, but no one is answering... at 7pm. The fax picks up. I callback 3 more times with the same results. I end up calling a manager at the Colonade location, who in-turn calls a manager at Stone Oak who then calls me back.
What sounds to be another kid. He offered no apology. Pretty apathetic overall. I said I'd never eat there again... and I meant it.
I also charged back the entire order. How I love Amex and their pro-card holder policies. Bite me Sushi Zushi
Yes, I am a little bitter. Just had to vent. Share the love,
BN

in person, the restaurant (at least the stone oak location) is great--if a bit pricey.
customer service via phone and web site? yeah, they suck.

How's the Lincoln Heights SZ? I've always wanted to try it, but never went in.

Sounds like "User Error". I order from their website all the time and never have a problem.

That stinks that you had a bad experience. I order from them and dine in and have always had a good experience. Once I did get sick, but we were never sure if it was from the food there or from something else.

Silly Billy.
People go there as a status symbol...not the food.
Try Goro's behind the Academy at 410 and Vance Jackson. They have great sushi.

YES, do that! I haven't been in a while but I used to go all the time. Ask for Armando. He's the nicest waiter. Super friendly and I guarantee he'll remember your name the next time you're there. If you order the same thing two or three times in a row he'll remember that, too. ;-)
As for Sushi Zushi. I have no problem with the food. . I'd love to go there just once when the waitstaff was more into the customers than each other though.
As for their DRIVING, I've only ordered online once or twice but their DRIVING is horrendous! My daughter goes to school in Alamo Heights and I was driving down broadway and the guy in the "zushmobile" was in such a hurry to get where he was going that he went BETWEEN myself and another car in front of a school during school zone hours (the ONE time there's no cop in AH!) and then FLIPPED me off. I wound up next to him at a stop light before turning and of COURSE he wouldn't even look at me. Probably felt really stupid that he put everyone through what he did just to end up stuck at a light just like the rest of us who drove like normal people (if there's such a thing as normal people driving).
Go to Goro's. . . . you'll LOVE it.

Thank you for completely demoralizing the youth with your post. I'm constantly criticized on this forum for any reference that mentions elders in a negative light. Just because you had a poor experience ordering from a QSR doesn't indicate the doom of the future.

Whine, whine, whine. I'm 26. Quit acting like some schlocko victim in a bad Lifetime Television made-for-cable movie...
My generation, as well as the generation after mine, are spoiled brats. It's well documented and can be seen anytime by simply tuning into MTV (who, for the record, no longer shows actual videos) or any number of other TV series.
Vapid, plastic, lazy and grubbing would be my best adjectives for what I see on a daily basis. We want the accoutrement of first-class, but refuse to work hard for it. A disposable generation of young people who have been raised to think that getting a credit card and an Acura is the epitome of class and status.
I am not saying that ALL young people are this way... Just many.
And yes, I continue to cringe for the future
