Default K-Mart in San Antonio
hey guys I heard that theres a K-mart some where north of 281 past 1604 going towards evans road. is this true?

Nope. Closest one I know of is in Killeen (which, I guess technically is "north of 281 past 1604"). The second closest is in Corpus. Do a search on KMart, we've had this discussion before...

I always wondered where one was since there are commercials for them, but I guess that the SA stations cover some of those areas.

K-Mart was one place that if I looked there LAST (well of course it was last - but after I tried 3-4 other places!) for something I was looking for like a certain color sheets, boots for my daughter, printer refill kits then I could find it. But if I went there FIRST - I couldn't find squat!

The K-Marts here and in New Braunfels closed in '02. I remember it well because I visited every store and brought home cartloads of great deals as the liquidator was marking things down.

Every once in a while, I find something in the house that I bought back then and remember the great deals .

All the KMarts in the big market's of Texas closed around the same time in 2002. There are some left in small cities and towns.

Yep, I pass several of their former locations all the time. I hated to see them go, but many became dumps towards the end of their existance...but that didn't stop me from shopping at them!

I always think it's kinda funny that the the old Super-K on 281 was converted into Northside Ford.
