The one in my pot on the patio and is a bit brown too. I think the humidity hasn't been high enough and I do forget to water on ocassion. The other one is in a bed planted against the house, but gets full sun. And when I turn the sprinkler on to water the yard or to hose out the birdbath, the water drips from the faucet in to that area where the fern is and is doing really well. It does get some protection from the house, but is in full sun almost all day. Starts getting shade in the late afternoon, around 2-3.

Well thanks y'all.

I did also read you are supposed to "mist" them 'from time to time' in addition to regular waterings. Now if someone could define "from time to time" for me we'd be all set.

Well, when they look like they need misting, from time to time. My smilies aren't working, so pretend the green guy with the big teeth is here.

You'll just know--maternal instincts kick in.

A daily misting would be fine especially when the humidity is fairly low like it is now.
