Default well wishes needed --- may be MIA for this week...

hi everyone --- well, we are moving this week --- this should be F-U-N!!! --- dh is still limping around and is no where near 100%, his foot and ankle are still swollen but the incision has healed up nicely --- plus we have all 3 kiddos to contend with ---

we will be packing our pack-rat between today thru wednesday --- dh's cop friends will be coming to help us tomorrow with the big items --- need to take most boxes and totes to my moms as those are the items we will be accessing most if we need too --- moving clothes, toys & essetials to the other side of town w/ my in-laws --- cleaning the entire house on thursday and closing at 2pm on friday --- whew!!!

i am fairly emotional given that this was our first home and we brought 2 of the 3 kids home here --- this house holds wonderful memories and i am very sad to see it go --- but it will bring good memories for another family, and for that i am happy ---

so off to 281/evans/bulverde rd for the next 3.5 months until our new house is complete in october --- wish us well!!!

i should be back on-line next week --- off to pack!!!

Good luck and remember, it's just a house now. All those memories are going with you.

You don't mention the doggies so you must have found a place for them!

Take care!

^^^ yes, we did, thanks for remembering and asking --- we will have to seperate them, which we are very upset about, but it's the only way we could get people to take them --- the mini schnauzer is going with dh's friend that has 4 kids, so he should have fun --- and the 80lb belgain is going with dh's other friend that already has a german shepherd, so that should be interesting at best...

I can identify with feeling a little emotional about leaving behind a home that's held such happy memories....I felt the same when we left our home in Louisville - it was a very happy home and we had 13 years of wonderful memories and DH and my first home together. Honestly when we bought it we thought we would never leave.....one never knows what the future will hold though! The day we left I looked back at it and said farewell and was happy to know that the new owners (also newly married "older" people like us) were so excited and felt like I was leaving our home in good hands (we had been the only owners of the home). The days preceding the move were soooo busy that I just didn't have too much time to think though and I think you will find the same to be true. Especially since your DH is a bit incapacitated!

My DH was so busy at work when we were getting ready that I basically did the whole thing myself (I'll have to admit though, that we had the packing + moving deal with the moving company...helps that we weren't paying for it...LOL).

Then we've lived here in SA for 3 months in the apartment. Feels like you're living in limbo while waiting for the house to be built etc. So, all in all it's been about 6 months total for us between preparing our home in KY for sale...putting on the market....closing...moving, etc., etc. It will be worth the wait for us though and I'm sure it will be the same for you. You can create new memories in your new home which you will cherish just as much. Good luck to you...!!!!

As for us....Yea!! We are closing on our new home tomorrow and moving the rest of this week. Woohoo!!!!! Oh...so, btw I'll also be MIA for a while...too busy to get online and also cable won't be installed til Friday.
