I'm sure they are fine if they're only frozen for say, a couple of months. The picture we saw of some frozen cowboy burgers gone bad looked like they had been in a frozen state for much, much longer. Either that, or they are just not very photogenic.

I'm sure yours will be fine.

The lady at the Blanco HEB Plus store always wraps my burgers separately in butcher paper. I've frozen them for a week and they were fine.

Yeah, that frozen burger looked like it went through space.

The Handy Vac is not really worth the money. We bought one for ourselves and one for my husbands uncle because we were processing some chorizo made out of deer meat. We didn't have the heavy duty sealer yet so we figured it was better than nothing. We sealed 35 bags, and less than half of them actually had a good seal. We thought it would work great because the week before we had sealed some pork chops individually in the small bags and it was great. I guess maybe it just doesn't work too well when there is any amount of liquid involved. Now it just sits in the top of our cabinet :/

I bought the $125 sealer and it doesn't work that great either. It's ok (JUST ok), it doesn't really get all the air out.
It is sitting on top of microwave, just something else to dust.

I stopped at HEB on at 1604 and 471 on my way home today. No cowboy burgers . I asked the butcher and he said that they used to carry them but they just didn't sell.
But I did find a good deal on the marinated fajitas. Reduced for quick sale at $1.99/lb, regular $3.49, so they were almost half price. Got three big bags in my freezer. yeah

My house is like Grand Central Station on the weekends so these are always good to keep on hand. But I'm sad about the burgers , I really wanted to try those.

I think only the Central Market and the HEB+'s are carrying them

marinated fajita for $1.99/lb is a sweet door prize though
