Teaching Job in Natalia School District
My wife teaches in Natalia, only 20 minutes south of SA, on IH 35, easy drive, and she just got her schedule for 2008 - 2009 and it has an opening for the English teaching job if any of you wanna be Teachers are interested. Its not a hard drive at all. All highway, and really very easy, actually easier than across 410 from east to west or vice versa

Employment
Starting Salary for 0 years, $31,427, plus being a rural district, gets rebate on those student loans. Just thought after all I read about people wanting to be teachers, here's a school that has several openings within 25 miles of San Antonio.

Wow, that's a really low starting salary. Maybe that's why there's so many openings. I'm a teacher in NEISD and my starting pay back in 2001 was $34,500. I just looked on NEISD's website to see what the starting salary is for the upcoming school year and noticed that we got a $2,000 salary increase! This makes the starting pay $45,500. Being in NEISD we don't get the student loan forgiveness, so that's an awesome incentive to work in the Natalia school district if you have a lot of student loans.

I might have to look into that when I graduate in the fall. I have a ton of student loans and that might be worth the pay cut for me! Thanks

Well, could it be because this district seems more 'rural' and out of San Antonio city limits? I'm thinking that's probably the case.
