How to make hotwings
Hey, I just bought some chicken wings from HEB but I do not know how to cook them so that they are ready for the buffalo sauce. Do I put oil in a pan and cook them there, deep fry them, place them in the oven? These babies are raw and I don't know how to get started. (these are for tonight ) In the meantime I am probably going to buffalo WW to buy a bottle of their sauce.

What I do is put them in a ziploc bag and pour the sauce in the bag and shake it up so the sauce gets on all the wings. I let them marinate for about 10-15 minutes, doesn't take too long. Then I put foil in a pan deep enough to hold all the wings, put them in the oven @ 450 for about an hour or so depending what the bag says. I don't like to deep fry them, because I try to be healthy. lol.

Line a cookie sheet pan (with low sides, not a flat sheet) with foil, shiny side down.
Set oven temp to 350 to 375... (I like to put it right in between those two, personally).....
Start the baking WITHOUT SAUCE and let them get browned up first. Baste them with your sauce occasionally, AS THEY BAKE.
Bake for about 45-50 minutes.
You can deep fry them if you wish, but I NEVER deep fry anything anymore.... too much mess and splatter and I'm so uncomfortable with all the mess by the time I sit down to eat, I'm not wanting to eat. I'm wanting to hurry up and clean up.

I have been told (from people at Buffalo Wild Wings) that they don't add the sauce until after they cook them. My question would be: Doesn't the sauce burn on the wings if you add the sauce on them while they are cooking? I really appreciate all of your responses. Thank you in advance!

All present and accounted for, ma'am. Just having a slow day....resting up for Friday!! I hate to go dragging into the weekend.
I like my sauce cooked on the wings, and then some more slopped on before they go down the chute.

Yes, that's why my post says START the cooking 'WITHOUT THE SAUCE'... I even put it in caps...
The sauces with sugar in them will burn the fastest... because sugar tends to burn if you breathe heavily on it...
which suggests just another whole thread which would probably be banned........

Ziplock some flour, paprika, little bit of salt and pepper. Shake your raw wings in the zip lock bag and get them coated. Deep fry your wings.
In a saucer, fry up some minced garlic with half a stick of butter or more. Add a bottle of hot sauce (i prefer that cheap Louisiana or Frank's).
Place the fried chicken wings in a large bowl, mix in some sauce. Pour some parmesan cheese over it. Bam!
