Not an SA problem, the fact is San Antonio lies on 35 coming from Mexico, so of course it travels in and through San Antonio and other cities. The fact is, if people werent buying in the US there would be no supply, BUT there is demand and so the supply comes.

Is it a case of more drugs or more interdiction? I hope it's the latter, becuase that would mean that the authorities are taking more of that crap "off the street." If you think Texas is bad, you should check out I-95 from Miami to NYC or Boston. That's a major route for cocaine transport.

At first I thought of these because they get good mileage.

I'd rather see more of this kind around town. People would have a much less stressful commute.

Pedestrians and people on scooters might not enjoy the calling cards those mules leave behind as they make their journey.

Unfortunately, both federal and Texas state law prohibit the use of medicinal marijuana, so where do they profit from confiscation?

You know how it goes...a lot of people like to think that the Feds make a huge profit from drug seizures when, in fact, much of the stuff is destroyed once it's no longer needed (as evidence). I've been in a few drug vaults in my time, and I can attest to the fact that the Feds would be MUCH better off if they DID make money from the drugs and pocketed all of the money. They'd certainly have a much better budget.

(As it is, drug seizure money does go into a fund, but it can be "borrowed" by other agencies.)

Heck, all you have to do is walk into a vault full of marijuana. You don't even need to light it--it's THAT strong.
