I received the quote from alamo. They have quoted 2900$ for approx 5 or 6 sprinker zones. They have also mentioned that they will use PVC Class 200 and 315 pipe and schedule 40 pipe fittings. What does that mean?

Thx

My neighborhood was done almost entirely my Choate irrigation. I got an estimate to have one put in and they told me it would cost $2500. Then the foreman for the building of my house (we bought a spec home at drywall stage) said he'd ask the Choate guys if they did Saturday jobs which means it's the same crew and all the same products but they came in on a Saturday and did it under the table. That cost me $1800. The system has done well and we've been here for almost 2 years. If you want the guy's number for a Saturday job pm me.

Moderator cut: consumer complaint

I heard Alamo Irrigation was decent and contrary to AAIS, they are in good standing with The Better Business Bureau.

I also heard good things about Choate from a few people who've used them.
Since I'm not allowed to post who I do not recommend, so ask me offline.

Question Sprinkler system recommendations

I live in Westoak Estates, on the west side near Sea World. Time to install a sprinkler system... recommendations? My leg is pretty messed up or I'd get ambitious and do it myself, but that's not going to happen.

Looking for a company that does the whole nine yards, design, installation (of both the lines and the timer) without charging *too* much!

How much is "too much"?

Ok, let me put this another way. My lot (total) is about a half acre. I'm looking for people who have a lot about that size, who had a sprinkler system installed, and are/were happy with the work done and the sprinkler system.

Then I can ask companies mentioned for a quote and go from there. I haven't talked to any companies, so I don't know what my budget is, since I don't know what they cost since I haven't talked to any companies, and that's why I'm looking for recommendations!

Make sense?
