My wife called a few minutes ago and said it's pouring at our house FINALLY. I was looking at the radar about an hour ago and it looked like rain was on top of my house, but my daughter said it stopped at the West Creek Oaks/Military intersection. I was definitely not happy to see it literally stop a few hundred feet from my back yard, but now it looks like we should be good to go for Moronathon 2008... still calling the cops if anyone near me launches anything though.

I only got a few drops!

RD doyou live at city limits? I dont think the cops will be able to do something about it. but earlier I passed by that alamo firework warehouse and it was completley desserted. I guess people are catching the drift! but I would assume that most people are probably buying their fireworks as we speak! I just saw my neighboor unload his whle trunk I am thinking he dumped about 400 dollars for half an hour of stupid smoke.

It's Murphy's Law or something. The same thing happened to me last year on the 4th in Lexington, KY--after they had been in a drought!

I think it's better to have it on the fourth and hopefully it'll last all night and add some wind and lightning.. that I can sleep through.

My wife said we got some hard rain for a few minutes and it's been on and off since; currently on lightly. Hopefully all of Westcreek got at least a good soaking. We're going to need it because most people over there aren't bright enough to get the hint...

I'm behind Westcreek in Caracoal Creek. Just a constant drizzle. Enough to take the fun out of swimming in the pool and cooking out

I'm wondering too how many people will still shoot off fireworks.

I could've swore there was an aerial ban for the entire county, so there shouldn't be anyone shooting anything off into the air. Hopefully Bexar County SD is out in full force, but I'm sure that won't happen.

and a constant drizzle is better than nothing. I drove from the Security Hill portion of Lackland to the BX and ran into everything from dry roads to heavy downpours with lots of standing water. There aren't very many people over here for the fireworks though. Maybe they're going to wait it out and see what Mother Nature decides to do.
