I still hear some, but it is sporatic and appears to be in the distance. My street is dark and quiet, I think my neighbors took the hint. A few years back I was hit by one of my neighbor's erratic fireworks, burned a hole in my shirt and arm. I love fireworks as much as the next guy, but to act stupidly around them can only lead to a bad situation. Trust me, I know this from firsthand experience!

Cheers! M2

I was at my brothers and he threw a block party for his neighbors and the neighbors next to his. Moon Bounce with a water slide and a dunking tank. It was fun but the funniest thing that happened is the front door neighbors decided to sit out in their front lawn and just when they thought it was safe, the father of the group starts up a roman candle and the truck that was passing by was actually a cop, he got out and walked up to the father while the roman candle was still setting off fireballs. Talk about red handed!! We all started laughing. He walked up to the guy and hit the roman candle off of his hand to where the balls started hitting the cars and kids walking by, the whole place went brezerk... lol J/K. He did get a citation though. We had great "non-fire" fun with horse shoes and cranium, add margaritas and you got a great party.

I love fireworks but IMPO It would be 100 times safer if they stop selling bottle rockets and projectables. Fireworks can go either way harmless and fun or leathal and deadly.
