Next time I am in town I want to go to a bar, but I do not want to deal with parking & the riverwalk.

What are the best bars near Alamo Heights, Olmos Park etc?

I like all sorts of music, but probably my favorite is country & classic rock.

Rebar = laid back, mellowed out softer rock

Revolution Room = Techno, glow sticks, and some rap...pop my trunk and pop my trunk...wine-o

Hangar = Alternative, laid back, hollister types.

Right outside loop 410 on Broadway is Dixies. Dixies is a relaxed country bar. Mixture of rockers and country lovers. GREAT BAR! Just last night there was a rush from Trinity going on...at least 300 people were there..

Up the road about 1 block from Dixies is Broadway Bar...its relaxed, young crowd.

Does anyone know of a bar or club that plays goth or industrial music?
Wifey and I miss our occasional people-watching outings to our old (San Diego) clubs.

Thanks,
B.
