Recommend a good beer?
I like ice cream too, but always have a hard time deciding which beer to buy.
I like to try different beers and stay with one for a bit if I really like it. I am definitely not a huge beer nut but always enjoy a cold one. I am about done with my Fat Tire Beer tour although its been a good two years it's time to move on.
Anyone try the Chimay?

I'm not a beer drinker, but I'd recommend Shiner Bock? Because well it's from Shiner, Tx.

Yup. I like Chimay.
I like a lot of different kinds of beer...too many to recommend. I wouldn't know where to start. My DH's favourite for summer is Kronenberg - it's a lager, relatively 'light' so good for the hot weather.
I just bought about 6 different kinds for our neighborhood crawl last weekend (which all went - I thought I'd have leftovers), and now another 6 for our party this weekend
. Among them Warsteiner, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and I can't recall what else. I like to just wander at Central Market or one of the northside HEBs and see what looks interesting.

I drink more Guinness than anything, but some beers I occasionally buy at HEB:
Fuller's ESB
Hoegaarden
Stone IPA
Lagunitas IPA
Old Speckled Hen
Young's Chocolate Stout
Pilsner Urquell
Chimay
Duvel
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Anchor Steam

I can't remember who makes it (could be Shiner) but it's called Cherry Wheat I think. I has a really pleasant hint of cherry.

Erdinger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
erdinger seems to be the fav for most my German friends. some like the dunkle, others the weissbier. heb central market has them both. i have been trying to get them to carry the non alcoholic erdinger, with no luck. i still have to order it online. if you are non drinker that is the best beer out there!

One of my favorites is Leinenkugel, or Leinie's if you want to sound like you're "in the know." They just started distributing it down here. The Honey Weiss is really good, and I enjoy the Sunset Wheat too. I haven't tried their Berry Weiss, and the Summer Shandy leaves a bit to be desired. I haven't seen their signature line, Leinie's Red, anywhere around here yet.
The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. Welcomes You!
