"Little" Shadow is now 3 years old and a VERY loving cat. He cannot get enough love from anyone who will give it to him. But he's not so little anymore...pushing about 13 pounds! ;-)

I always believe a crime against kids, women, elders and animals should be dealt with the same manner. No exception.

read the OP's post, saw the date, first thing i thought was 'do they still have him and how big is he now?'

good on you saving a kittys life. ill echo others who said 'why can you throw the driver out of the car'.

also, my csb:

was at gross wal mart on i10/vance jackson picking up something random. wasnt there more than 15 minutes. as i was slowly pulling out of the parking lot, i see a van by a tree with a dark hispanic coming out with a large box. he placed the box under the tree, went back to the van, got what appeared to be a bowl/cup, placed it in the box. goes back into the van, closes door, drives off.

mind you, there were at least 3 children in the van, along with what i assume was the wife.

as theyre driving off, i drive to the box to inspect it. what do i find but 5 TINY baby kitties, not even 4 weeks old, meowing and looking really scared. im a big guy. im 6'4. i used to bounce in clubs when i was 18. ive taken many krav-maga courses and i excelled tremendously at them. if someone was with me that could have watched the baby kitties, i would have sped off after them and beat the ever living **** out of the husband in front of his darling lil crotchfruits and wife.

since it was just me, i called 311. they said that they only pick up baby kitties (my case) and injured cats. so i told them i would wait for them with the kitties in my car with AC til they got there.

bout an hour later, this chick drives up and asks about the meowing and if im adopting out kitties. i told her what happened, she gasped and thanked me so much for taking the kitties in. she also remarked that it was amazing to her that a guy cares this much about kitties, when most men are taught to not like cats and prefer macho pets like dogs (kinda agree with her).

anywho, turns out she works for the evil, dreaded dr becker (who is and will always be my vet of choice). becker in turn gave the kitties a home and eventually found homes for them. i came in from time to time with a small bag of kitten chow for the baby kitties and to see their progress.

had i not had the 3 adorable furballs i have now, i would have taken those baby kitties home and fostered them til they were old enough to go to new homes.

as i type this, Chester just knocked something over in the kitchen, ran out and had this 'oh **** i didnt do it' look on his face. he's now lying down and trying to act innocent, like it was Apollo or Dexter that made the mess/noise.
