oooooh, yes, yes yes!! I too, would LOVE to go the airshow!!

I was on another thread a short while back, talking about the military planes that fly over the area where I live, at the end of each 'workday', and what a RUSH I get over, pretty much just planes in general, but ESPECIALLY the military ones.....

I'll be watching to see when this is going to be..... HH/PGR

I love to see such enthusiasm about military air shows! We were stationed in Pensacola and ran out to watch the Blue Angels practice any time we heard them overhead. My kids would see them at school when they were on the playground or during gym and we never got tired of them! I'll look around when I go to the base this weekend to try and spot some info.

Doesn't Randolph have one every year?

From what I understand, Randolph and Lackland alternate.

That is correct, they alternate.

For the OP, I was at Randolph's show last year and had a good time. Sure, we primarily went to test-drive the new Jeeps; but the demonstrations and exhibits we did see were fun. I would like to know what you thought "sucked?"

By the way, out of the two, the Randolph one seems to be better organized traffic-wise. The year before last it every entrance to the Lackland show was backed up pretty bad...

Cheers! M2

We went last year to Randolph-but instead of going in-we parked along side of the landing strip off the highway along with a bunch of other people. We backed the truck in and brought a cooler and snacks- it was great!

Well i guess i thought it sucked cause im from california and we used to go to the Mirimar airshow our there and it was huge... We got to the Randolf show a bit late last year and we just didnt think it was great.. In California you didnt have to drag a folding chair if you were willing to pay for grandstand seating and enjoyed it that way.. I guess we will try and check out the one this year at Lackland.. Thanks for much for the responses. my kids love airplanes!! Last year my 7 yr old even wasnt amused with what flew at Randolf.. Looking at the line up for Lackland it already looks like it will be a better show!
