Talking Commute from New Braunfel to FT Sam Houston

I may be relocating to Ft Sam Houston to work, and was thinking about living in New Braunfels any one know what the commute would be like? Any other ideas would be nice as well.

I'm not far from Ft Sam and I recently looked at houses North of New Braunfels. The trip miles were 35 miles one way. You could wind your way around the back roads, but I-35 would be hard to avoid to get to Ft Sam. On a good day, no traffic.....it would take me about 35 minutes. Rush hour......no less than an hour....but probably more like 1 1/2. The best way to check it out is to do a few test runs at your normal drive time. Good luck!

1 hour to 90 mins during rush hour.

Lets of people in SA drive upwards of an hour each way to and from work. No biggie.

Gosh N-Hawk....we actually agreed on something! except for the part being a "no biggie". I left Dallas because of those "no biggie" commutes. Lifes too short to spend 3-4 hours a day in traffic......not to mention the added expense of gas these days. But I suppose that depends on a persons lifestyle to how big the "no biggie" is!
