Ok to put this to rest I looked it up in a couple of books and online this is what I found. It was legs of a chicken. But again I say that the details may be a little different.

As with all theses stories the idea is the same just the details are a little different.

Forgot the story totally until your "chicken feet" rendition...that is the same story I heard growing up here...so it made it's way thru the "gringo" community here as well back in the day....

Iused to think those were just scare stories too til I had an encounter. My mom used to talk about La Lechusa. Never believed until I saw a HUGE owl in our neighborhood. I was told that since it did not come after me that it was not meant for me and not to worry.

I attended a handful of rock shows in the late 90s at El Camaroncito. There was a giant pentagram of christmas lights on the ceiling but no chicken-footed/cloven-hoofed suavesito. The stories I've heard recall a raven-haired fellow who was (always emphasized) the most handsome man anyone had ever seen.

I heard the story from my uncle, his wife, my mother and my late father. They where going to a dance hall out by where they used to live in old hwy 90. As they they where heading into the dance hall. All they saw was a mob of people running and yelling towards the restroom area. My father asked what was going on one man said that they where chaseing a man with chicken legs. while my father and I have seen werid things where we used to live with three witnesses. All three said the same thing.
