A few minutes ago you said it'd be best to wait until you were in San Antonio.
I understand if you're nervous about disclosing your nationality. But everyone here has been very friendly and helpful, so avoiding the issue only makes you look like you have something to hide. I really don't think anyone here is going to care if you're Iranian, Iraqi, Moroccan, Palestinian or whatever. They'll all assume you're just a student legally studying in our country and they'll welcome you with Texas hospitality. But if you act as if you're hiding something they're going to be suspicious. So why start off on the wrong foot?

Oh my lord ! You getting me in trouble even before I am there . No no, I am hiding nothing and I am coming there just to study ! It is just being little bit conservative! Maybe I learnt that from the British cuz they are more conservative than you (That is my personal opinion ).

I'm certainly not trying to scare you or get you in trouble. There are two questions that are universal when someone meets another person who has introduced him/herself as being a visitor: "What's your name?" and "Where are you from?" Anyone who avoids answering will be viewed with suspicion. (Except for the name part if you're only participating in anonymous message board.)
