The cheapest place to stay for a week ?
I am coming to San Antonio in a couple of weeks to study at UTSA. I have rented an apartment but I can only move in after the 15th of August so I want to find somewhere to stay for a week before that. I need somewhere cheap and not very far from the campus, so what do you recommend ?

There are quite a few extended stay hotels near the medical center off Medical and Fredericksburg Rd. Avoid the Budget Hotel and In Town Suites! Make sure you look at the room before you check in. Also...ask if there is staff on site at night, AND if there is a security guard ON the premises.
Some of these places are really bad news....some are very reputable....ya just have to take a look see! With the hospitals so close, often family and friends of patients stay in these kind of hotels.....but so do a lot of transients. Just take care to know what to ask for.
