I would recommend not wasting money on expensive wheels.

Me too! They are simply too coveted by those willing to take them. Also , they're just too expensive to buy.

Back in the early 60's they used to steal the baby moons off my dad's truck with such regularity we just stopped replacing them. They were $5.00 for a set of four at White's Auto! I don't even want a nice paint job because they will screw that up out of jealousy.

true, but I dont want to purchase heck Im affraid of buying 18'' for my car due to other jerks wanting to take em or mess them up. I want to get a bait car and just surprice them with the 12 gauge. My friend did something similar he had a nice car (restored malibu) and he left his garage door unlocked soon enough he was missing his set of Mikey Thompson Slicks and some nice headers that were going on the car. So He did the same thing, but this time He got his GF to drive his car away while he stayed in the garage soon enough the prey walked in and he was waiting for them with his son's T-ball bat! lol he got an assault charge though currently disputing it. Supposebly the theifs walked in to make shure his door was locked. Go figure dam liberals.

Yes, they can be ANYwhere. Same thing happened to my friend when I lived in the CostaBella apartments in Stone Oak. His Yukon was on cynder blocks!

The nerve of those people.

These thugs will take anything. And btw, your GPS Tracker makes you an easy target. This just happened to my co-worker during daylight hours while working in his territory.

He removed the device out of the window mount and put it into the console. Apparently, the theives saw the mount and assumed the device would be in the car and bingo, they stole it...along with his ipod.

I say look into a installing a security camera like 'digginhouse' did. You just never know who is creeping around your property.

Argh, makes me so angry.

This all bites.

I don't want to stray from the topic but I think this is very relevant to what is going on here. I am opposed to people doing drugs period, but seriously, if we could eliminate the resources we are wasting on processing people doing drugs and refocus those efforts to taggers, vandals and neighborhood thieves, you might see less of this happening.

I'm no cop but it would seem to me if you could write a ticket to some reefer smoker instead of taking the time to book him, run hm through the system and write a report, you'd have more time to patrol neighborhoods looking for rim thieves and taggers.

Ask yourself this: If it was strictly up to you and it was a one or the other situation, would you rather have the police spend their time on vandals/taggers/thieves that turn neighborhoods into crap, or arresting your yuppie neighbor smoking a doobie on his back porch?

They asked our DA Susan Reed (whom I somewhat respect but loses credibility with each new thing I learn about her), and she would prefer to process pot smokers.

In this environment, I'd spend $600 on a camera system before I'd spend that money on 22" rims.

Back in the 70's Art's Atlas on Fredricksburg Rd. was the place to get your wheels. Don't think a set of four anything was more than $200.00. But yes by all means get the cameras . If you catch them you can take everything ever stolen from you out on them! At least that's what I've always said.

Thanks for the heads up, I have 22"s and a home security camera. I hadn't been recording anything until they egged my truck about a couple weeks ago. I figured if this is what is to come, I better get VHS cassettes, and a VCR. Believe it or not, they don't sell just a VCR anymore. I had to go to a pawn shop. Well, now I am recording 24/7. This thread caught my eye since I am 2 minutes from Westcreek.
