My neighborhood has been finding headless dead rats in their yards for a few weeks now. I finally had my first...the other day. Something is killing these rats and leaving them headless. We can't figure it out.

Any Verminators here that know more? DM me if you want to stay anonymous...and if your tip leads to an answer I'll give you some rep points.

(This is a serious question)

My guess would be the neighborhood cats! I have found headless mice and birds in my yard since a new neighbor moved next door about 2 years ago. She has a cat as does the neighbor behind me and they both seem to prefer MY yard to their own. Maybe because I have a birdbath? But, that would be my (serious) answer.

What would be creepier is if you found headless live rats.

I had a cat who would spend the night in the garage sometimes. One morning I woke up to find a headless mouse in the garage. I guess that is the tastiest part. Brainfood!

That's what I am thinking it is....do cats really do that? There's a big fat black cat that hangs around here...

They definitely do that.

My cat used to love to catch animals and rip them apart. Now she's fat and lazy (lucky critters...)

I guess they get into my backyard too...

And the headless mice/rat is there one night, and then it's gone the next day. I'm hoping the cat finished it up....if not...I hope I'm sound asleep at night.
