Spelling lesson of the day: Mahncke Park, man-key. Pay attention eveyone or I will have to beat everyone over the knuckles with that wooden ruler. The nuns always said it hurt the most and left no marks.

I don't know what it is, but no matter how hard I try I ALWAYS spell that one wrong. I don't get it because I worked there, hung out there, have friends who live there, AND I'm a bit of a spelling cop in other ways, but this one has kicked my butt.

DJ, I hate to rain on your parade, but get ready for a serious downgrade! San Antonio does not have anywhere near the interesting, diverse, and eclectic neighborhoods and cultural "hubs" that Houston has.

Yes, you'd probably be most at home in Southtown, but again, it really cannot compare to Houstons distinct little neighborhoods. Furthermore, there aren't really any distinctly young, hip, urban exclusive areas that are brimming with young people.

That's one of my major complaints about this city.

Any thoughts on Stone Oak? Other suggestions?

More on the St. Mary's area would also be good.
I would visit South town and Stone Oak before making a decision.

I think most people raised as "suburbanites" clearly prefer Stone Oak for adult entertainment.

As much as I love art, coffee, and music, south town doesn't do it for me.
