My hope is that he doesn't have some slimy shyster isn't looking for some "loophole" to get Emilio out of this one. Has anyone ever heard of "tough love?" Maybe a good dose of jail will jar him!

The Emilio Navaira band members Eddie Perez and Daniel Sandoval, along with Perez’s grandfather Pedro, who were all on the ill-fated bus Navaira crashed last March appeared on television for the first time with their lawyers to explain why they’re suing Navaira’s company Emilio, Inc. as if anyone who’s not an enabling codependent needs a reason. In the above video we learn that one of the men was trapped under the engine of the bus for two to three hours after the accident and the $100,000 insurance policy on the bus didn’t meet the minimum requirement for state and federal laws. Not to mention the fact that Navaira, who had twice the blood alcohol limit at the time of the accident, has a drunk driving record the size of our arm and wasn’t licensed to be driving ANY car let alone a bus. Wait a minute. Actually, we do need an explanation as to why they’re not suing Emilio personally. At the very least, can you guys think about it?

SAN ANTONIO -- One of the best known evacuees of Hurricane Ike happens to be a San Antonio resident.

Tejano singer Emilio Navaira was among those evacuated from Galveston where he was undergoing therapy after suffering massive head trauma in an Easter Sunday bus crash, but now he's back in San Antonio.

Be careful what you ask for in him being given the jail time we both think he deserves after this 3rd DWI...his family is probably HOPING that is the outcome since then all his medical/rehab becomes the responsibility of us tax payers while he is "paying his debt to society".

What I wan't to know is why this Emilio character doesn't just hire a teetotaler assistant to drive his drunk-ass around (same with Lohan, Hilton, and the Nicole Richie's of the world)? The guy must be a complete moron, well, NOT must, he obviously IS. I mean even uber-pilled-out Elvis had sober assistants to drive him around - if he didn't he'd probably have killed dozens (ever see him in some of those 70's concerts, that poor guy was out-of-mind screwy).

Hummm.....should be interesting since he CAN'T be insured because he is not licensed to drive. However deserving they might be for the accident, I can't help but believe that they KNEW he was driving without the proper authorization...and that they are just as much a party to the activities as Emilio was. How do you NOT know of his DWI record being a member of his band???

Would also be interesting to know if they were as snockered as Emilio was???

And, he was involved in another accident yesterday, at Potranco and Culebra, Hey, this time he wasn't the driver. I know, little sarcasm there. Some guy cut him and his wife off while they were coming back from rehab. What goes around blah, blah, blah blah.

the guys a drunk that can't figure out drinking and driving is illegal. that makes him an idiot in my book. I'm still waiting for someone to come out and say he was driving, but switched positions after the accident. Then again there were three Final Destination movies.. soon to be four and I can't wait
BTW, that macho is more of a false bravado IMO
