Most of Terrell Hills very very nice in the Alamo Heights ISD. Good schools close to downtown but not to close. Good shopping near by.

Most people dream of being able to live in Terrell Hills. It a wonderful community with it's own city government and services. It's completely residential, I believe. Some of the nicest boutiques and grocery stores are next door in Alamo Heights.

Ditto, WONDERFUL area, amazing homes, centrally loacted, just be ready to shell out plenty of $$$. Buying in the area is also a great investment, as the area will always be coveted, and the homes appreciate in value yearly like you wouldn't believe. If you can afford it, it's the hands-down best place to live in SA (and always will be), hands down IMHO.

I have to agree with Googie on the investment part. I can't remember which publication, but I read somewhere recently that Terrell Hills has the highest property values in the city....and the most desireable. 2nd Alamo Heights and Olmos Park tied. These are three small cities within the San Antonio city limits.....the advantages of a small city government make them more appealing to property owners. Terrell Hills is razing like crazy, however.....goldiggers buying up two and three lots to sell for an outrageous amount. Alamo Heights put a stop to that. It's a matter of time before it happens in Terrell Hills. Get in while it's still affordable (barely).
FYI...Terrell Hills Heights and East Terrell Hills are a different market altogether.

Honestly if you are considering the area, I would prefer the Olmos basin or Lincoln Heights. It's the area hidden by all the trees along 281 between Hildebrand and Basse.
