Default Call Center or Telemarketing Jobs Downtown?

I am moving to SA very soon and really want to start a job right when I get there. I won't have a car so need something downtown and I know call centers or telemarketing jobs are usually quick hire...the prob is I can't seem to find any right downtown...they are all far away from town. Please please if anyone could tell me if they know of any downtown or close to downtown that would be great. I am looking for a $10 base plus commissions and bonuses. I have also signed up with Office Team...who are an administrative temp agency...they haven't responded to me and they only have 3 job listings on their website. Not too promising!! Any tips on great temp agencies located downtown would be very appreciated as well. Thanks!!

All the call centers are way outside 410. Most are near Dezavala and IH 10. there are no call centers downtown. It's also impossible to take a bus to get to where the call centers are located. You can take a bus there, but not get back. the bus sceduale is such that it does not cover the hours you need . I tried.
Downtown or anywhere you can get on a bus is limited. Downtown is losing it's biggest department store, so options fpor a quick hire is slim to none.

They do but not downtown. Marriott was by 1604 and 281. La Quinta has one of I-10, but none near downtown.

Calling Solutions, INC.

It's on McCullough only about 2 min north of downtown- coming from downtown it's on the right hand side just past Ashby. It's an Inbound only calling center selling Verizon FiOS. I used to work there, it's not bad. You should look into it.

Thanks for the tips! ChrisSA...how did you apply for the job at Calling Solutions? They don't seem to have any listings online or a location specific e-mail. Did you just call? Were you able to earn commissions? How long was the training? Thank you SO much for the info!!

My understanding is there is a small call center in the building owned by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center that currently houses Guadalupe Street Coffee. The call center is supposed to have just moved into the office building adjoining/attached to the coffee house. I don't have any contact info, but you could contact Guadalupe Street Coffee and ask what the name of the call center is. By way of geography, this is walking distance from the south/west end downtown... from Durango and Santa Rosa it's about a 5-10 minute walk.

I believe that Frost Bank has there call center in the Frost bank building on Houston street. Pizza Hut call center is downtown also on Santa Rosa I believe, but doubt the pay is good enough. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

They have one at 728 S Santa Rosa Ave 78204.

I've never worked there. The pay appears to be much lower than what I'm making ($12.00 an hour) so I don't think I'll consider that place.
