The Geography majors in the graphics department at ABC News moved our beloved city to somewhere around La Grange. My wife noticed this and paused the news until I got a chance to see it.

This graphic was up when they ran the story about the Center for the Intrepid at BAMC...my Google Earth screenshot of where San Antonio is really located is below it.

The worse part, IMHO, is normal on most every major news network. Every time San Antonio is mentioned in anything, it's always "San Antonio, Texas"...as if any normal sane person is going to get confused with San Antonio, New Mexico or San Antonio, California. Are there people out there who really don't know what state San Antonio is in?? Who are these people? Are they allowed to drive??

It shouldn't be surprising that ABC News has now put the city's location at somewhere w/nw of Houston approaching East Texas when you have that type of thinking!

Either your TV needs some serious adjustment or we had a major earthquake that moved us way over to the east!

Lucky texas is a big state. If this were out east, this would be the distance from Boston to NYC.

LOL!!! Looking at the first map from ABC it appears that they did not give New Mexico any borders. It shocks me all the time how many people from outside of Texas do not realize that "New MEXICO" is a state in the United States. But then again it is like the shows/movies that depict Dallas getting a hurricane.

Anyway, thanks for the laugh.

On this same line of thinking...I like the NBC show "Heroes" but it bugs me to no end when they show one of the characters at her home in Odessa Texas...complete with mountains near her neighborhood!!

That bugs me in movies where the setting is like New York or LA and we see another cities skyline.
