outside photography spots
Does anyone know a great spot to have outside pictures taken? We would like to have some family pictures taken outside but the only pretty place I know of is the McNay. The McNay is beautiful but does anyone know of another beautiful place?
Thanks

there is also the Botanical Gardens not to far from the McNay. There is also the Japanese tea gardens near the zoo. I guess it depends on the backdrop you are looking for. Me personally, I enjoy shooting at the Missions on the south side. Lovely scenery, and shots come out phenomenal during sunset with the colors of the sky.

Freebie places would be great! I would be willing to pay a little fee but not more than $20. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

the tea gardens and missions are free, and lovely places to shoot photos. I have taken numerous clients there to shoot their photos, and all have been happy with the turn out
The McNay i believe only asks for a donation of $15, but have not been there since the re-opened.

In a very short time you will have the spot at Lost Maples very colorful, lots of areas in Boerne, or in O.P. Schnabel Park, Friedrich, Eisenhower, Crownridge Canyon, Stone Oak or Walker Ranch Parks, Cathedral Rock Nature Park (Acme Gravel Tract), Elmendorf Lake, J Street, Medina River Natural Area, River Walk, Spanish Governors Palace, just a few I can think of, almost forgot, Government Canyon State Natural Area
