Hello. I too need a realtor in San Antonio; looking to purchase a condo in the downtown area. I assume DMs are direct messages....would you be kind enough to share that information with me as well? So many thanks. Jane

That's correct. There's a rule in the Terms of Service which doesn't allow real estate links or recommendations to be posted on the board. Since you're a brand new member and to help any real estate professionals reading who may be new, I'll quote it below to help everyone understand.

Quote:
Real Estate Agents and other businesses will not advertise their services nor solicit business in their posts. Create a free business profile by going to http://www.city-data.com/profiles/add and fill out your forum profile instead. Do not include links to your websites, MLS listings, etc. in your posts. Do not try to push the envelope by attempting to hide your intentions. Do not solicit business by DMs. Show your knowledge about the area and help people and you will get leads naturally. Real estate agents should join the usergroup for them here: http://www.city-data.com/forum/profi...editusergroups. It will set your user title and add an icon next to your name, so you will get free advertising with your posts.

I'm always curious about how many "solicitations" someone will receive when asking for referrals. Without naming any names, can you tell us how many "I'm a great Realtor and would be happy to help you" dm's you got?
