Remember Sound Warehouse.......
That was a cool place to select and listen to Music. There was another similar place at that time, that happen to be the competitor. However, I cannot recall the name.

Was it Hastings? I think there is still one in San Marcos or New Braunfels.

There was an old Red & White grocery store and Grace's Pharmacy at Cincinnati and Wilson Blvd.
My grandfather, Jesse Yantis, owned Yantis Dairies in the 1885-1920 and he sold milk in San Antonio on carts. Old man Knowlton was an orphan and worked for my grandfather. When my oldest uncle, Robert, wanted no part of the dairy farm, Knowlton bought out his interest and the Yantis dairy became Knowlton farms which created the creamery and sold delicious ice cream. Knowlton family sold out to Oak Farms.
My uncle had the second Ford dealership in San Antonio. Yantis Ford operated from 1920's to early 1930's. It later became Yantis Motor Company and sold used cars. Back in the 20's, a Model-T sold brand new for $200.00. Several of the later delearships owners worked as salemen for my uncle, so I am told.

Bob's Comics at Blanco and West closed. I should google and see if he just moved...........really nice guy and my son loved to go and browse there--he always found something he couldn't live without, too.

There was a Ben Franklin in the same strip center as Kroger's. There was also Dick's Hobby Shop on the back side of Terrell Plaza.
Those are the only hobby/craft stores I remember in that area.
