Truants in Texas to be tracked by GPS - Telegraph
A new pilot program will require about 50 area students to wear GPS equipped ankle bracelets. This program is being used to combat frequent truancy. The program is apparently also in use in Dallas and Midland.
What do you think?
I'm sure their intentions are good but I think this may be a step overboard.

I don't think it's a step overboard at all. Keep their butts in school instead of out tagging our fences! There are surely more than 50 needing monitoring."But the privacy issue: What happens with the bracelet or anklet after school is out? Is that appropriate for the school or courts to know where and what this person is doing outside of school?"
