Sphincter-tightener for sure. Unfortunately, that happens on a daily basis on every major road in SA. Sociopathic driving, I say. They have no concern about anyone but themselves.

I shudder to think how many lives are in danger every day with guys like this on the road. I think you should spread that photo around the Internet as much as possible - get this guy some unwanted publicity. One quick search on Google news for "family killed in car crash" or "child thrown from car", resulted in thousands of hits. How many could have been avoided with the oh so simple act of backing off and paying attention? What a waste! One more thing, if you as an adult do not wear a seat belt and get thrown from your car in an accident you may die. If a child in your car isn't wearing a seat belt and gets thrown from that same car, if you survive, you will be in jail for manslaughter or worse. On top of losing a child, you'll now have to think about car safety in a cozy 8x10 cell. Parents, for heavens sake, buckle your children in a car seat!
I was in Spain a few years ago when a van sped up to get through a changing light and then at the last second the driver changed her mind, slammed on her brakes skidding to a halt just over the line. I was a passenger in the car behind her and since we thought she was going through the light, hadn't slowed down as quickly as we could have if we knew she was stopping. Anyway, we bumped her rear end just slightly, a little tap that resulted in no damage to her car. (we wouldn't have hit her at all if the pavement hadn't been wet) But the point is that she had three children in the van not wearing seat belts - they were on their knees on the back seat, looking out the back window as we hit her. Just imagine what might have happened if we'd been tailgating at full speed, and not traveling at a distance, trying to beat that light.

I might be
Depends on the situation there's some times that even if you move over they still follow you and tail gate you, so thats where you make them back off.

I would recommend against tapping or slamming the brakes to make a point because that might pi$$ someone off enough to follow you home..

I know that. and I've only done it once in Austin, just for the reason I spoke off earlier. When I moved over he followed me and kept tailgaiting. Here I just slow down till they pass me. Theres a bunch of innocent drivers on the road to be doing that crazy crap anyway.

I'll do this in a residential area like Westcreek (Military Drive). I tap the brakes and they back off. Let them come to my home so I can introduce them to Mr. Remington.
Tapping the brakes is a friendly reminder, slamming the brakes is not...

This reminds me of one time when someone was obviously following me home. I went past my gate about 1/2 mile to my neighbors gate who is a cop . I turned in and the truck went on by, but I figured if he came back to "get even" (or whatever they do) he would be surprised to see a cop car sitting in the driveway.
