Well we currently live in the Spring Branch area and the idea that gangs are moving in out here is more than laughable. The only problem we've had so far was the kickers (cowboys) vs. Hispanics. Big Gang fight there....NOT !!! that was just ridiculous teen stuff. Lets fight after school, "Okay" then nobody shows up. hahaha OOHED, scary stuff. That over a year ago.
I actually live in the Canyon Lake mailing area although I am 1/2 mile off of hwy 46 an 1 mile from SVHS.

Please remember that the zip codes in these areas cover a large area so most of the available houses or land are probably south-side of the lake by the school or actually in lower Spring Branch along Hwy 46. I hope this rant makes sense.

River Crossing is one of the subdivisions we had looked at -- very nice and seems to be a great place to raise children. We also were looking across the highway at some of the other, older subdivisions. Does anyone know anything about these?

There are 3 main subdivisions across 281 from River crossing. There are others up and down 281 but the entrance to all 3 is just before the bridge. Riverwood is 1.5 -5 acre lots with a few larger. Nice area, nice homes. I believe it is around 15 yrs old. Behind it is another subdivision with smaller lots, 1/2 to 1 acre. Lower priced, smaller homes. To the south of River wood is the newest of the three subdivisions. Gated, good restrictions. Home prices in the $250 - $550 K range.

Default Bulverde Area??

My DH and I currently rent in Universal City. We are thinking of buying in Bulverde off of the 1863. Is this good, bad, or Ugly! DH works off of Perrin Beitel. Can anyone give info on the area? And DH works the night shift. Thanks ahead of time.

Traffic is going to be a nightmare. I would wait until all this talk of a "super street" is figured out before even considering it. But that's all my opinion.
